The goal of this course is to educate students how to take the correct decision regarding the materials and the techniques they should use in order to develop their experimental setups. They will be taught about the properties of materials. In addition they will be introduced to a design program, necessary nowadays in order to be able to produce fine mechanical parts in a mechanical workshop. In parallel the instructor will explain them how to design in a realistic way so that their designs can be implemented in practice. Finally the students will get an introduction into 3D technology.

Course Objectives:
Materials
1.        Learn the basic materials used in mechanical engineering.
Short review of materials in mechanical engineering. Here I would like to explain the difference between various materials and important features to be taken in account when choosing a material.
2. Design and manufacturing
In this introductory course, you will learn how to model, assemble, document and analyze parts using Creo Parametric, a CAD platform used by engineers and designers across the globe.
2.1 3D design and modeling. Introduction to Creo Parametric6.0 – Fundamentals
In this course, you will focus on learning core modeling skills. Topics include understanding the interface and basic Creo Parametric concepts, selecting and editing, sketching and sketcher tools, and basic feature creation. This course also includes a comprehensive design project that enables you to practice your new skills by creating realistic parts. After completing the course, you will be well-prepared to work effectively on product design projects using Creo Parametric.
3.            Introduction to Technical Drawing
In this fundamental course, students are introduced to basic technical drawing skills and terminology. Terms and definitions used in industries, such as manufacturing and construction, will also be covered. Specific skills introduced in this course include sketching, geometric
